Learn English with subtitles and a dictionary from the film

The app teaches English from video: dual subtitles, a dictionary from lines, review, and a quiz. Video is for study, not an online cinema.

Lingstudium is an educational product: films and series with subtitles are language material. The service does not offer pirated rental or “watch for free” streaming.

For rights holders: why video is used in a learning app

What is Lingstudium

Lingstudium is English learning from video: you watch content with subtitles, instantly see translation and word references, and save words to your personal list. Reviews of English words use that list: word–translation matching sessions, reminders for review timing on the word screen, and a stage summary on the dashboard.

How do dual subtitles work for study?

  • Two subtitle tracks

You can keep English and your native language side by side, show only English, or hide subtitles. There is no need to search for a line translation in another window or stop the video — unlike a clip with one track or none.

  • Word translation in subtitles

Tap an English word in the line: translation, part of speech, and a short note open over the video, and you can save and listen to the word at once. No pause, copy, and dictionary in another tab.

  • Line navigation

You move by subtitle boundaries: previous and next line without searching for the moment by hand. Work through a difficult English phrase and continue, instead of hunting it with the timeline slider.

How do you save words from a film to a dictionary?

  • Personal vocabulary

An English word from subtitles goes straight into your list with filters, sorting, and a view for the screen — table, cards, or list. Review dates and knowledge checks belong to that list, not to notes that get lost after watching.

  • Word review

Saved English words open word–translation sessions from the words page and the dashboard: selection by stage and time since last training, review of already learned words, points and a session summary. Vocabulary from the clip does not stay a one-off impression after a single viewing.
